Directions to Marmara University Faculty of Science
Marmara University Faculty of Science is located on the Göztepe Campus in Kadıköy. The Faculty is situated on Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Avenue, commonly known as Minibüs Yolu, adjacent to Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital.
Public transportation options for reaching the campus are provided below.
Transportation from the European Side
Marmaray Line
Marmaray trains travelling towards Gebze can be taken from stations on the European Side, including Halkalı, Bakırköy, Yenikapı and Sirkeci. There are two main station options:
Feneryolu Station: After getting off at Feneryolu Station, the campus can be reached on foot without the need for any additional transfer.
Söğütlüçeşme Station: After getting off at Söğütlüçeşme Station, proceed to the nearby bus and minibus stops. From there, take an IETT bus travelling via Ziverbey or a Kadıköy–Pendik minibus. These services provide access to the “Marmara Üniversitesi Göztepe Yerleşkesi” stop located in front of the campus.
Metrobus Line
Take the Metrobus and get off at Söğütlüçeşme, the final stop on the Asian Side. From the bus and minibus stops outside the station, transfer to an IETT bus or minibus travelling via Ziverbey to reach the campus entrance.
Transportation by Ferry
Ferries or passenger boats can be taken from major piers on the European Side, including Beşiktaş, Eminönü and Karaköy, to Kadıköy Ferry Terminal. From there, transfer to a public transportation service travelling towards the campus.
Walking Route from Feneryolu Marmaray Station
The main entrance to the campus can be reached on foot from Feneryolu Station.
After leaving the station, walk north along Gazi Muhtar Paşa Street towards Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Avenue, commonly known as Minibüs Yolu.

At the end of Gazi Muhtar Paşa Street, you will reach Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Avenue. The main entrance to the campus and the “Marmara Üniversitesi Göztepe Yerleşkesi” bus stop will be diagonally opposite. Use the pedestrian crossing and traffic lights to enter the campus safely.
The walk takes approximately 5–7 minutes.
Transportation from the Asian Side
From Gebze, Pendik, Kartal and Maltepe
There are three main options for reaching the campus from these areas:
Marmaray Line — Recommended Option: Take a Marmaray train travelling towards Halkalı and get off at Feneryolu Station. From there, follow the walking route described above to reach the campus.
Via Minibüs Yolu — Direct Route: Take an IETT bus travelling via Ziverbey and passing in front of the campus, such as the number 17 Pendik–Kadıköy service, or take a Kadıköy–Pendik minibus. These services provide direct access to the “Marmara Üniversitesi Göztepe Yerleşkesi” stop without the need for any transfer.
M4 Kadıköy–Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro Line: Take the M4 metro line and get off at Göztepe or Ünalan Station. From either station, transfer to an IETT bus travelling towards the campus via Ziverbey.
From Üsküdar
There are two main options for reaching the campus from Üsküdar:
By Bus — Direct Route: From the Üsküdar Sahil Yolu stop, take the number 2 Bostancı–Harem IETT bus travelling towards Bostancı and get off at the “Marmara Üniversitesi Göztepe Yerleşkesi” stop.
By Marmaray: Take a Marmaray train travelling towards Gebze from Üsküdar Station and get off at Feneryolu Station. From there, follow the walking route described above. Alternatively, get off at Söğütlüçeşme Station and transfer to a bus or minibus.
From Kadıköy Ferry Terminal
From the bus and minibus stops around Kadıköy Ferry Terminal, take an IETT bus travelling via Ziverbey or a Kadıköy–Pendik minibus. Get off at the “Marmara Üniversitesi Göztepe Yerleşkesi” stop located in front of the campus.
